"It's a little unusual but then, I love running and just go inside - I'm not defending that much," he said.

"I tell my defender 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to keep attacking.

"The running is what I'm after. It's enjoyable."

'Surreal Scenario

In addition to the forward's 6 goals on his first game, Stephen Ireland has scored 8 in 3 games for Wythenshawe, while Boyd hit five on his debut match and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, notched a triple in one game up front.

Wythenshawe are top of the Premier Tier with 3 wins from 3 and a goal difference of +19.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who plays on the flank for Collegiate OB, came up against ex- Wigan defender Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his nine-year-old son who Heskey was.

He has appeared at 2 global tournaments for Honduras, in as well as playing in over 200 top-flight matches.

"It was going round like wildfire they had these former top-flight players," said the player.

"I think I was a little awestruck playing against him to be honest.

"Also Heskey came on and he's has 60-odd England caps.

"We competed well for a solid 20 mins but then we had a man dismissed and it was hard.

"Our group literally haven't stopped chatting about it - I was calling my mum and brother on the journey home.

"They were all really nice, shaking our hands after the game - it was like playing a bunch of regular fellas.

"Now we can't wait for the second fixture."

"We scored 1-0 up and had a
