Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms passed over the region, bringing powerful gusts topping 109 kilometers per hour.

Massive Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Damage

Residents observed large ice chunks as large as 7cm in some areas. Meteorological experts verified that various areas across the state had been affected by significant hail.
